The final round. The deciding round. Here they are:

Maths: A*
574/600 UMS
Physics: A*
567/600 UMS
Chemistry: A*
571/600 UMS

I’m absolutely delighted, and into my course of Mathematics and Physics at Warwick. I did an AS in further maths this year, and got an A, so that takes me up to A*A*A*abb overall with the lower case being AS-levels. Unfortunately a fair few of my friends didn’t get what they needed, and were thrown out even with a differential of one grade. Well done to everyone and best of luck to those sorting it out!

And I understand the rules, my results make me officially a wanker.

WEll done!
Your blog has been a great help, with al the pasts papers, I'm really thankful.
I didn't do as well as I hoped on the chemistry unit 2, It would be amazing if you could upload the the past paper and the markscheme, or just email them to me.

I'm not sure whether to get a remark, and i really want an idea of what I went wrong on for the resit.
Thanks again.

Wow! Well done. I haven't done as well as I'd hoped (only AS) but it's safe to say I'm pretty jealous of your smarts.

Brilliant results!! Well done :D

I was just wondering what your offer was and whether AS further maths was included in the offer. I am applying for economics and am planning to take up AS further maths this year.

Thank you in advance.

Danke. :)

Where are you planning to apply?

The offer for Mathematics and Physics at Warwick was A*AA with the A* in maths, physics required, and a third subject (that doesn’t have to be further maths). They expect you to have further maths to cope with that course, though.

If you’re doing the BSc Economics as opposed to BA, they’ll probably need maths A-level but not further maths. I think it’s unlikely they’ll make an offer on your AS further maths but if you mention that you’re doing it in your personal statement they may be more inclined to give you an offer in the first place. Make sure you look at the course requirements on the university’s website.

I was a weird case as I originally applied for Physics and they made an offer for that (it still hasn’t officially changed).

Hope this helps.

@baz
Short answer: read and understand everything you’re meant to know with the syllabus as a guide. Do brainstorms or whatever works best. Do a shitload of past papers.
Long answer: http://www.thomas-reddington.com/3/post/2010/03/where-i-went-right.html

@Sagar & Hugh
Thank you and you’re welcome. :)

@JC
When I get to updating the A-level stuff I’ll put it up.

Sorry for the belated reply.

I absolutely love this blog- it helps me massively as I'm studying Maths, Physics & Chemistry (also doing Eng Lit but that's not worth a mention)- where do you find the time to maintain this site!

Hey, congrats on your results! although this is really belated, i wanted to ask, is there a difference in AQA chemistry and physics and Edexcel chemistry and phys for international students?
